Jim Umberger, (Ummie),  the name you will find in the Dictionary describing “Slowww”, thus the nickname “Slowsky”.   Has never won a tournament but has finished second a couple of times. Always will have the excuse that someone did not give him enough details in order to plan his schedule to avoid being late.   The most  famous recent excuse was “that no one told him when sunrise was”.  If not pushed he can easily sleep in until 10:00;  also as documented by Dale Sweigard, he has been seen sleeping in the fishing chair in the front of the boat..   Has recently acquired new boat with adequate horses on it to get up and go.  If you are his partner do not expect help with the net…You are on your own!

 

    Has been known for organizing the local Halifax river tournament. His reputation as a tournament director took a big hit last year when he was too lazy to set up the weigh station and tried to guess the weight of the winning fish by eye sight.   As you can imagine this did not go over too well with the loser Charles..

 

    His good buddy Steve Porter has also labeled him as BBPP because of his chronic complaining all the time. 

 

     He recently displayed his real talent last year at the 2006 Bass Blast as he did an excellent job of MC of the Bass Blast CD…Job well done!!!
